1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Chasr ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service. The Service is operated by Chasr Limited, a company registered in England and Wales ("we", "us", "our").
2. Description of Service
Chasr is a UK invoice automation platform that provides:
- Creation of professional PDF invoices with VAT support
- One-click invoice delivery via email with Stripe payment links
- Automatic payment chase schedules (email and optional SMS reminders)
- FreeAgent accounting sync for MTD-ready bookkeeping
- Invoice tracking, payment status, and CSV export
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. By using Chasr, you represent that you meet this age requirement and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.
4. Account
- You must provide accurate and complete information when creating your account.
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
- You are responsible for all activity under your account.
- You must notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.
5. Pricing and Payment
- Chasr plan: £7.50 per month — includes unlimited invoices, PDF generation, email delivery, automatic email and SMS chase schedule.
- Accounting Sync: £5.95 per month (or £59 per year) — automatic sync of invoices and contacts to FreeAgent.
- All payments are processed securely via Stripe.
- Prices are in GBP and inclusive of any applicable fees unless otherwise stated.
- No long-term contracts. You may cancel your subscription at any time.
- We reserve the right to adjust pricing with reasonable notice.
6. Invoice Sending and Payment Collection
- Chasr sends invoices on your behalf via email. You are responsible for the accuracy of invoice details, amounts, and recipient information.
- Payment links are provided via Stripe. We are not a party to the payment transaction between you and your client.
- We do not guarantee that your clients will pay their invoices.
- Chase reminders are sent automatically according to the schedule (days 1, 7, 14, 21, 28 overdue). You may stop chasing at any time.
7. FreeAgent Accounting Sync
- The accounting sync feature connects to your FreeAgent account via OAuth.
- OAuth tokens are encrypted at rest using AES-256-GCM.
- We sync invoice and contact data to FreeAgent on your behalf. You are responsible for reviewing synced data for accuracy.
- We are not responsible for issues arising from incorrect data in FreeAgent caused by inaccurate invoice details you provided.
- You may disconnect FreeAgent at any time from your account settings.
8. Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to:
- Use the Service to send fraudulent, misleading, or illegal invoices
- Use the Service for harassment, spam, or unsolicited communications
- Attempt to exploit, hack, or reverse-engineer the Service
- Use bots, scripts, or automated tools to interact with the Service in an unauthorised manner
- Use the Service for money laundering or other illegal activities
- Violate any applicable laws or regulations
9. Intellectual Property
The Chasr name, logo, and branding are trademarks of Chasr. You retain ownership of your invoice data and business information. By using the Service, you grant us a limited licence to process your data solely for the purpose of providing the Service.
10. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free. We do not guarantee the delivery of emails or SMS messages, as these depend on third-party providers.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Chasr shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of revenue, loss of data, or loss of business, arising from your use of the Service.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Chasr from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your use of the Service, your invoice content, or your violation of these Terms.
13. Data Retention
- Active accounts: We retain your data (invoices, client details, payment records, account information) for as long as your account is active.
- After account closure: We retain your data for 90 days to allow for reactivation. After 90 days, account data is permanently deleted from our systems.
- Financial records: Transaction and invoice records may be retained for up to 7 years to comply with UK financial record-keeping requirements.
- Data export: You may export your invoice data as CSV at any time, or request a full data export by contacting [email protected].
14. Termination
- You may close your account at any time.
- We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time for violation of these Terms or for any other reason with reasonable notice.
- Upon termination, outstanding invoices already sent will continue through their chase schedule unless you cancel them before closure.
15. Modifications
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email or our website. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
16. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, without regard to conflict of law principles.
